Big Bear Mac User Group

Big Bear Lake, Big Bear City, Fawnskin and Sugarloaf are mountain communities located in Big Bear Valley at nearly 7,000 feet in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California.

The Big Bear Mac User Group was formed in June 2006 by a very small and informal bunch of people who thought they were the only Mac users on the mountain. We ran a tiny ad announcing the Group in our local newsweekly and discovered we weren’t alone by a long shot! We’ve grown and have been successfully holding meetings every month since, except when deterred by winter weather. In addition to a beautiful alpine lake, our valley also includes the Snow Summit and Bear Mountain ski resorts.

We meet at 6:00 PM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the historic Knickerbocker Mansion & Country Inn conference facility at 869 Knickerbocker Road in Big Bear Lake, CA 92315. We have free Wi-Fi available, so please bring along your portable Mac.

Our meetings are simple, fun, open to all and free! So if you have a Mac, a PC or are just curious about all things Apple, please come and check us out.

As we often see new faces, we start with brief first-name introductions to break the ice, review the latest Apple/Mac news, followed by a Q&A session, the Program and a closing Q&A session. All in all, it’s quite civilized and very straight forward.
